ETS International Inc. of Roanoke has agreed to license a company in South Korea to manufacture and sell its limestone emission control system in that country.
The agreement was signed with JINDO Engineering and Construction Co. Ltd., a member of JINDO Group, a conglomerate with annual revenues exceeding $800 million in U.S. currency.
ETS said the licensing agreement is contingent on approval from the Korean government.
The limestone emission control system is patented by ETS to mitigate acid rain by reducing sulfur dioxide emissions from industrial and utility smoke stacks.
