The Radford Travel Center, a BP gas station on Tyler Avenue outside Radford, fell victim to its second armed robbery in four months early Thursday.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said the robbery occurred about 4:20 a.m. at the store located near Interstate 81 Exit 109.
A man entered the store dressed in khaki pants, a black jacket and wearing a ski mask. He showed a black, semiautomatic gun to the cashier and demanded money, according to police.
The store clerk followed the man's directions, including lying face down on the floor until the robber left.
The robber left the store with an unknown amount of cash and checks, police said.
The last time the store was robbed was Aug. 13 when two men entered the station and brandished guns.
No one was hurt during either robbery. Anyone with information about either incident should call the Sheriff's Office at 382-6913.
