The Radford City School Board added a salary increase and money for technology to next year's budget at its meeting Thursday night.

School employees requested a 6 percent pay raise; the board agreed to 4.5 percent. It also agreed to hire four computer lab assistants and two special education aides. Another $156,800 for technology improvements brings the total budget additions to $550,000.

That amount will be added to the present roll-over budget of about $8.6 million.
