MISSING MAN'S BODY FOUND IN RIVER

The body of a 58-year-old Franklin County man was found in a shallow section of the Pigg River near Glade Hill on Friday morning. Charles Brammer of Union Hall had been missing for about 24 hours, and his family notified the Sheriff's Office Thursday night, Capt. Bill Overton said.

Brammer's truck was parked near where he was found. Brammer was part owner of Franklin Ready Mix on U.S. 220 near Rocky Mount.

An autopsy will be performed.
