AKERS AND ROCKY GAP BEAT GILES IN OVERTIME

Matthew Akers scored six of his 25 points in overtime as Rocky Gap defeated Giles 63-55 in a non-district boys' game Saturday night in Rocky Gap.

The Eagles (3-4) outscored Giles 12-4 in the extra period. Adam Akers added 17 points for Rocky Gap.

The Spartans were led by Ben Brown, who scored 14 points.

Girls, Pulaski County 67, Tennessee-Bristol 42: Katrina Williams scored 19 points as the Cougars cruised to a non-district victory in Dublin.

Lisa Skeens added 14 points for Pulaski County (5-0), which held a double-digit lead after the first quarter and never looked back.

Courtney McDaniel scored 23 points and Samantha Wells 11 for Tennessee (5-6).
