FLEMING WRESTLER WINS HALIFAX TITLE

William Fleming's Maurice Lacy won the individual championship in the 125-pound weight class during the Halifax County Invitational wrestling tournament Saturday night in South Boston.

Lacy was 5-0 and beat Brent Thomas of Lee-Davis in Mechanicsville 13-5 in the final. The Colonels' Maurice Carson finished seventh at 160 pounds in the 33-team field. Grundy won the team title.
