GIFT HONORS WOMAN KILLED BY DUI TEEN

The Glenvar High School administration donated to the Good Neighbors Fund this year in memory of a "devoted mother and a devoted wife."

Roger Martin, assistant principal and athletic director, said the school made the donation in the name of Bonnie Kitts, who was killed in December 1995 when she was struck by an automobile driven by a drunken teen-ager.

Martin said Kitts had a "radiant personality." She lived near Martin for two or three years. He said he remembers often seeing her out walking and talking to neighbors.

```Never met a stranger,' I guess is a way you could characterize her," he said.
Kitts also taught a Glenvar student who was homebound while fighting cancer.
"In that short period of time [that she lived in the neighborhood], she touched a lot of people," Martin said.
