MONTGOMERY OKS INCENTIVE FOR FLA. EMBROIDERY BUSINESS

Montgomery County is negotiating with a Florida business that's interested in relocating to this area.

The county Board of Supervisors voted earlier this month to provide a $10,000 incentive for the Soleil Co. to move here.

The company, which makes embroidery, wants to move closer to some of its major customers, according to the county's Department of Economic Development.

Presently the Soleil Co. has about 30 employees, many of whom operate large embroidery machinery. But the firm's employment levels could rise to more than 50 if it moves here, the county said.

The only unresolved issue is a local industrial site for the company, the county said.
