* Cardinal Bankshares Corp., parent company of the Bank of Floyd, on Monday declared an annual dividend of $1.03 per share, payable Dec. 31 to stockholders of Dec. 23. The dividend represents an increase of 6.2 percent from the 97 cents paid a year ago.

* U.S. financial markets will be closed Wednesday for Christmas. The Daily Market Report and other financial tables will not be published Thursday in The Roanoke Times but will resume in Friday's editions. The New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq Stock Market and American Stock Exchange will close today at 1 p.m., bond trading will end at 2 p.m., and most commodities exchanges will complete trading early - the New York Mercantile Exchange and Chicago Board of Trade by 1:10 p.m., and the MidAmerica Commodity Exchange by 1:30 p.m.
