Police issued a murder warrant Thursday for Eric Rosas Lopez in the Christmas double shooting outside a town house that killed one man and wounded another.
The trouble began about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday with a fight between three men in the street. Police charge that Lopez, 29, pulled a gun and shot one man in the chest and the other in the right forearm. Witnesses said the shooter then fled into the town house.
Police broke down the door about 6 p.m. and rushed in. Later, they said the occupants of the town house had not been home.
Jose Sarabia, 29, who lived in the subdivision, was shot in the chest and died at the scene. Ignacio Bustamante, 24, of Manassas was taken to Prince William Hospital, where officials refused to disclose his condition.
Lopez also was named in one malicious wounding warrant and two warrants charging use of a firearm to commit a felony.
Officer Marc Woolverton, Manassas police spokesman, said the shooting may have been gang-related.
