BLOOD DONORS SOUGHT IN BEDFORD

In response to shortages, volunteers are needed to donate blood in Bedford County.

Blood donations are especially needed during the holidays when people are busy or on vacation, making it harder to recruit volunteers willing to give blood, the American Red Cross said.

Bedford County life saving and public safety offices are sponsoring the bloodmobile from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Bedford National Guard Armory on Omaha Beach Circle in Bedford.

Those donating blood should bring identification.
