QVC opens doors to state
Virginia-based small businesses and entrepreneurs can compete late this month for the chance to sell their products on a national cable network.
QVC's :Quest for America's Best" tour returns to Richmond Jan. 16 as part of the cable retailer's search for 1,000 of America's best new products on QVC during a three-hour broadcast later in the year.

The Blue Ridge Business Journal said Tuesday it will launch an Internet site offering local, state and national business news and information.
Starting Thursday, Roanoke Valley Business Onlineat www.roanokebiz.com will offer stock information, event announcements, financial advice, weather, sports, travel information and games. The journal said it plans to sell advertising on the site.
