RICHMOND - In a Dec. 11 story, The Associated Press erroneously reported that Kathy Crockett was in a china shop when her car rolled into a freezing pond with her son inside. Both she and her son got out of the car in a parking lot, where a woman was selling used china. The child jumped back in the car and put the gearshift in neutral, allowing the car to roll.
Glenn Hamlin, the welder in a photo Tuesday, was working at Cave Spring Junior High. The location in the caption was incorrect.
