The victim of a homicide Monday night on Chapman Avenue was identified Wednesday by police as a Southwest Roanoke man.
Larry Edward Donahue, 33, of the 1400 block of Patterson Avenue, died of a gunshot wound to the head about 10:50 p.m. in the Southwest neighborhood.
A man who lives on the street told police he heard two gunshots and saw two teen-agers running through the parking lot of a nearby convenience store.
Police are following several leads, but no arrests had been made Wednesday night. It was Roanoke's 13th homicide of 1996.
