Catie Redick scored a team-high nine points to wrap up tournament MVP honors as Cave Spring defeated Chapel Hill 41-31 on Wednesday night in the championship game of the Chapel Hill (N.C.) Holiday Classic girls' basketball tournament.
The Knights (7-0) slowed the tempo for most of the game, but used full-court pressure to get some easy baskets in an 18-10 second quarter. Cave Spring put away the Tigers (5-5) by outscoring them 10-3 in the final period.
The Knights' Kim Morris joined Redick on the all-tournament team.
