THE CONFLICT RESOLUTION CENTER recently elected officers and board members for the 1996-97 term. THE BLUE RIDGE ASSOCIATION FOR VOLUNTEER ADMINISTRATION has announced the members of its board of directors for 1996-1997. They are:

THE ROANOKE KIWANIS CLUB has elected officers for the new year. They are:
Vernon M. Danielson, president; Mary Poletti, president-elect; Donald W. Wilson, vice president; John M. Shumate Jr., secretary-treasurer; Robert E. Brailsford, past president; William T. Stack, president of Kiwanis Foundation.
JERRY DOWDLE, the retired owner of Dow Shoes, has joined the board of trustees of Commonwealth Catholic Charities.
THE HARRISON MUSEUM OF AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURE recently elected new officers and members to its board of directors. New officers are: Sharron Davies, president, and Frances Chubb, vice president. New members of the board are: Robert White, Lisa Thomas, Marvin Starks, Jonathan Goodman III, Benita Graves, King Harvey and Todd Markum.
THE ART MUSEUM OF WESTERN VIRGINIA'S board of trustees elected Dana Martin museum president. Martin, senior instructor for Allstate Insurance Co.'s education division, will serve until June 30. Other officers elected are: William H. Fralin Jr., president-elect; Clydenne Glenn and Ronald Smith, vice presidents; Betty Lesko, treasurer; and Valeta Pittman, secretary.
A COMPETITION GROUP from the Linda Watkins School of Dance in Roanoke recently placed first in the secondary open ballet division; third in the small-group intermediate lyrical dance division; and fourth in secondary intermediate tap at the recent Dance Troupe Inc. competition in Greensboro, N.C.
Members of the group include Suzanne Ball, Meghan Chudina, Lindsay Cranwell, Sarah Creech, Erin Dallas, Claire Haynie, Michelle Herman, Leigh Kidder, Quincy Martin, Carly Rotramel and Beth Wajcieshowski.
A trio from the school finished fourth in the senior lyrical division.
THE VIRGINIA MUSEUM OF TRANSPORTATION has elected new officers for the coming year. They are: Cynthia Dillon, board president; Jay Brenner, executive vice president; Lynn Meyer, vice president of volunteer relations; Jim Harness, vice president of finance and development.
Also, Wayne Strickland, vice president of marketing; Gene Elliott, vice president of collections and exhibits; Maryellen Goodlatte, secretary; J. Granger Macfarlane, treasurer; Weldon Lawrence, immediate past president. New members elected to the board are: Ralph K. Baker Jr., Vickie Bibee, Bradley W. Fitzgerald, Jim Frantz and John Williamson.
