Three companies that operate networks of automatic teller machines in the mid-Atlantic and Southern states said they have merged.
Southeast Switch Inc., Internet Inc. and Alabama Network Inc., respective owners of the Honor, Most and Alert electronic funds transfer networks, will now operate as Honor Technologies Inc., the newly formed company said.
Terms were not disclosed.
The merged network includes 22,000 ATMs and 330,000 point-of-sale terminals in 16 states and the District of Colombia, ranging from Connecticut to Florida and Louisiana. It will process an estimated 56 million transactions a month, making it one of the largest in the United States, Honor said.
By the end of February, cardholders of the former networks should have full access to all network ATMs and POS terminals, the company said.
Honor Technologies executives could not be reached for comment.
