Kevin Price came off the bench to score a season-high 24 points in 10 minutes and help Duquesne break a three-game losing streak with a 102-92 win over Radford on Saturday afternoon.
The Dukes (4-6) won for the second time in eight games with their first 100-point game at home since 1989. Mike James scored 21 points, Tom Pipkins had 20 and Nick Bosnic added 18.
Price was on the bench when the game started, the result of a nagging back injury that caused him to miss most practices. Coach Scott Edgar was forced to use his seventh different starting lineup. Price scored 17 in the second half.
Radford (6-6) trailed by one point at halftime and stayed close with 70 percent 3-point shooting. The Highlanders were seven of 10 on 3-point tries in the first half with Leslie Ballard making all three of his attempts.
Kevin Robinson and Anthony Walker each scored 19 for Radford, with Robinson equalling his career-high. Ballard had a season-best 17 points, Corey Reed scored 14 and Eric Bowens had 11.
The Highlanders had a season-worst 26 turnovers, which led to 24 Duquesne points.
``In the first half we had a good lead, but a lot of foul trouble. Still, it was very disappointing that we didn't handle their pressure very well,'' said Radford coach Ron Bradley. ``The second half they just got after us on the boards. You can't give up 21 offensive rebounds and expect to win the ball game.''
