Henry Eggleston scored 13 points and Kermit Noel and Bobby Basham each added 12 as Franklin County held off Bassett 56-53 on Saturday night in a non-district boys' game in Bassett.
For the second consecutive night, Bassett had the ball with a chance to tie at the end of the game. The Bengals called a timeout with less than 10 seconds remaining and got the ball to Keith Harvey, who launched a 3-point shot that glanced off the rim at the buzzer.
Andre Fuller had 15 points to lead Bassett, and Corey Manns chipped in 11.
