DOMINO'S CLASSIC EXCEEDS ITS GOAL

The Domino's Lewis-Gale Classic basketball tournament, hosted by Roanoke College on Jan. 4-5, exceeded the $10,000 goal set by tournament organizers. All proceeds went to the American Cancer Society and V Foundation.

The tournament raised more than $7,300 through donations, raffles and auctioned sports memorabilia, and surpassed its goal thanks to a $3,000 anonymous gift made in memory of Ava McCarthy Sauer.
