At an organizational meeting Monday night, the board unanimously re-elected Democrat Joe Sheffey as its chairman and Republican Jerry White, vice chairman. The board has three Democrats and two Republicans. Regular meetings also will continue to be held on the fourth Monday of each month, except for May 26, Memorial Day, when the May meeting will be moved ahead to June 2, and the Dec. 22 meeting date will be moved back to Dec. 15 to stay clear of the holiday week.
The board also agreed to prepare a proposal to convert the former Belspring School site into a potential post office site. That possibility will be discussed at a community meeting at the Belspring Methodist Church at 7 p.m. Monday.
