          of an apartment building at Bent Creek Apartments in Roanoke County 
          Tuesday afternoon. The fire took two hours to control and left more 
          than a dozen people temporarily homeless. No one was injured in the 
          fire, which started about 4:15 p.m. The fire may have started inside
          a wall, which contained it to half of the building but made it 
          difficult to extinguish. Story on C1. color.
