Bishop F. Neff Powell of the Episcopal Diocese of Southwestern Virginia will lead the 10 a.m. worship service Sunday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, East Main and Roanoke streets, Christiansburg. A confirmation ceremony will be part of the service.

A Christian Unity Dinner, open to the community, will be held Monday, 6:30 p.m., at Central United Methodist Church, Eighth and Wadsworth streets, Radford. The churches of Radford will be observing a week of prayer for denominational unity during the week of Jan. 19.

Sponsored by the Radford/Fairlawn Ministerial Association, the program at the catered dinner will focus on church history highlights of the various denominations represented in Radford. The cost of the dinner is $6 for adults and $3 for children. Reservations may be made by calling 639-3529.
