CPAS AGAIN WILL TACKLE READERS' TAX QUESTIONS

Are you facing an unusual tax situation that doesn't seem to fit the government forms? Or do instructions in the tax booklet just seem more confusing than helpful?

For the fifth year, The Roanoke Times is soliciting tax questions from readers. The answers will be supplied by certified public accountants who are members of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. They have volunteered to answer tax-related questions from newspaper readers.

"Tax Questions" will be published every Monday on the Money Page from late January through April 7. The final questions must be received by Monday, March 30 to allow time for answers before the filing deadline on April15.

Please include your name and a daytime telephone number in case we have questions about your questions. Readers' names will not be used when their questions are published in the paper.

In addition, The Roanoke Times will publish a series of tax stories by The Associated Press. The articles are scheduled to appear on Mondays, Jan.27 through Feb. 24.
