Main Street waits for two pedestrians to cross at midday Tuesday.

The Christiansburg Town Council last week agreed to study ways to

improve pedestrian safety in the crosswalks around the town square

at Franklin and Main streets. The request came from Councilwoman Ann

Carter, who said she has been hearing increased complaints recently

about discourteous drivers. In fact, Carter said, she was almost run

down in a crosswalk. "We're just not pedestrian-friendly in that

area," she said. color Type first letter of feature OR type help for list of commands FIND S-DB DB OPT SS WRD QUIT QUIT Save options? YES NO GROUP YOU'VE SELECTED: QUIT YES login: c
