Aviation Giant and Local Joke-Teller Retires!
After 41 years, 1 month, and 5 days with the Federal Aviation Administration, Peyton H. Hash retired on January 3, 1997. He will now begin a second, much-anticipated career, as a Domestic Engineer with the firm of Hash Enterprises in Roanoke County. CEO and Chief Financial Officer Merle Hash states that ``..while it is true and his domestic and culinary skills have been somewhat lacking in the past, we here at Hash Enterprises feel that with constant supervision and coaching, Peyton will ultimately reach his full potential in his new career.'' Although Hash could not be reached for comment at this time, due to his new responsibilities, he stated in an earlier interview that the rumors he was addicted to ``Live with Regis and Kathie Lee'' were totally false. Has also hopes to divide his time between his five grandchildren, and his brand new bread maker. Best of luck in your new career, Pop-Pops! We love you!
