State health officials traced an October outbreak of Legionnaires' disease in the New River Valley to a hot tub at a Christiansburg store. But at least one expert thinks investigators might not have cast a wide enough net. Dr. Victor L. Yu, with the Pittsburgh Veterans Affairs Medical Center, didn't criticize the findings in the outbreak that killed two and made at least 14 other people sick. But he challenged local physicians to think outside traditional views of how the disease is spread in a speech Monday in Blacksburg. For details, see today's Virginia section.
