A 21-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint late Wednesday in Southeast Roanoke.
Police said Robert Goens was at a house on 11th Street near Stewart Avenue at 10:30 p.m. when two men approached him. One of the men pointed a large-caliber handgun at Goens' head, then took a gun that Goens was carrying in a shoulder holster. The robber also took Goens' wallet, which contained $30. The robber hit Goens in the face and fled with the other man toward Dale Avenue.
In an unrelated incident early Tuesday, a 27-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint in a Northwest Roanoke housing development.
Police said Ronald Hodges' car stalled in the 2000 block of Gandy Drive in Lincoln Terrace about 1:15 a.m. Two men approached his car. One, holding a small chrome handgun, demanded Hodges' wallet. The robbers took $20 from Hodges and fled.
