disassemble the Leggett sign at Tanglewood Mall Tuesday so the new

Belk signs can go up today. Charlotte, N.C.-based Belk, which in

November bought the Leggett department store chain, has begun adding

its name to 31 former Leggett stores in Virginia, West Virginia,

Maryland and North Carolina. This week it changed signs on its

Western Virginia stores. Shopping bags, in-store displays and price

tags will reflect the name change as well. Belk operates more than

200 stores in the Southeast. color.
