Rashid Bey scored 16 points and grabbed a rebound in the final seconds to give St. Joseph's its fifth straight victory, 63-62 over Drexel on Tuesday night in Philadelphia.
With seven seconds left, Dragons guard Mike DeRocckis missed a jumper that would have capped a late 15-4 run. The rebound fell into a crowd of players and the Hawks' Duval Simmonds tipped the ball to Bey, who held it until the buzzer.
Simmonds had a career-high 12 points for St. Joseph's (16-5).
Jeff Myers led Drexel (17-7) with 25 points, including 19 of the team's last 30 points. He added 11 rebounds.

Notes
MAROONS FALL: Roanoke's recent five-game losing streak dropped the Maroons to sixth this week in the NCAA Division III men's regional basketball poll.
Two weeks ago, Roanoke was No.1, a spot occupied now by University of the South (Tenn.). Maryville (Tenn.) is second, followed by Roanoke's fellow Old Dominion Athletic Conference members Hampden-Sydney and Bridgewater.
Three teams that played in last season's NCAA Division III Final Four at the Salem Civic Center lead their respective regions - Rowan (Atlantic), Illinois Wesleyan (Midwest) and Hope (Great Lakes).
UCLA KEEPS COACH: UCLA removed the word ``interim'' from head coach Steve Lavin's job title, giving him a four-year contract through the 2001 season. Lavin has guided the 24th-ranked Bruins (13-7) to a first-place tie with Southern California in the Pacific-10 Conference since taking over for Jim Harrick, who was fired in November.
REINSTATED: University of Dayton junior forward Rodney Horton, who was suspended last week following an outburst at practice, has been reinstated to the team, coach Oliver Purnell said. Horton is averaging 9.2 points and 4.1 rebounds per game this season.
