The Virginia Tech men's and women's teams swept the Atlantic 10 Conference track and field titles Saturday in Kingston, R.I.
Rashida Dodson had two first-place finishes as the women's team set four school records en route to the title with 161 points. Dodson won the 55-meter dash in 7.11 seconds and the 200 in 25.43.
Jennifer Cook took the 55 hurdles in 8.08 and Katie Ollendick set a meet and personal best by clearing 5 feet, 11 1/2 inches in the high jump, which was an NCAA qualifying mark.
Dodson was named rookie of the year and Ollendick, a senior, was named performer of the meet.
On the men's side, three Hokies took firsts as Virginia Tech finished with 161 points. Jason Fullmer won the 55 dash in 7.60, while Dettrick Stith won the 500 in 1 minute, 4.93 seconds and Justin Davis the 800 in 1:56.50.
Both Virginia Tech coaches swept the yearly honors, with Lori Taylor winning as women's coach of the year and Russ Whitenack taking the honor for the men.
