An Associated Press story in Friday's editions erroneously reported that Malcolm Thomas Ruffin, convicted of strangling his girlfriend, was sentenced to 50 years in prison. The judge sentenced Ruffin to 50 years but suspended 20, resulting in a 30-year sentence.

In the Virginia High School League Group A wrestling tournament team results that ran in some editions Sunday and others Monday, the third- and fifth-place match results were transposed.

Maurice Lacey won the 125-pound weight division during the Roanoke Valley District wrestling tournament Saturday night at Franklin County High School. His name was not listed among the winners in Tuesday's edition.
