          charged with the Feb. 8 shooting death of his ex-girlfriend, listens
          in a Salem courtroom as the judge reads the charges against him: 
          first-degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and 
          two unrelated misdemeanors. Lisa Sizemore, 26, was shot to death 
          outside Brooks' home. Brooks is guarded by Lt. Steve Huff of the
