LOA needs volunteers for companion program

Seniors age 60 and over are needed for LOA's Foster Grandparent and Senior Companion Programs.

In both programs, volunteers will work four hours a day with children or seniors with special needs.

Volunteers receive a nontaxable stipend, assistance with transportation expenses and meals.

Psychiatrist to speak at dinner meeting

Psychiatrist Robert Albanese will speak on "Perspectives on Anger" at the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill of the Roanoke Valley's dinner meeting on March 10.

Soccer club signing up members
