CONGRESS not only has the power to destroy America but is now doing so through its immigration policies. Because of its poorly reasoned immigration policies, America will soon no longer be the greatest nation on Earth.
This multiracial immigration into America brings with it an extensive variety of ethnic, religious and social customs, all mostly foreign to Americans, just as American ways are foreign to the aliens. The idea that the United States can welcome and absorb millions of all races is absolutely insane.
This country cannot harmoniously ingest the hordes of immigrants Congress is permitting to enter America. It is an invasion that is more likely to change the character of the country, our political, social and economic system, than any war in the traditionally understood sense of the word.
The Census Bureau forecasts the U.S. population will grow from its current total of 262 million to 394 million by the year 2050. Both the number of immigrants and their high birth rates will account for 30 percent of this projected growth. Today's white majority will become a minority by then unless Congress acts now to stem the massive tide of aliens.
The early settlers in America were Europeans who left their native lands seeking religious, political and economic freedom. These immigrants fought the natives they found living in the new land, conquered them and drove them onto Indian reservations. Will history repeat itself? Will the white Americans born in the early 21st century be overwhelmed by the Hispanic, African and Asian hordes entering this country?
Of all the members of the United Nations, only a handful still take in any substantial number of legal immigrants, and it seems very likely that even these countries will in the near future conclude that they have reached their limit. There is no country that will willingly let itself be overrun and overwhelmed by aliens in such numbers that the indigenous population becomes a minority.
This is exactly what Congress is doing to native Americans! How can Congress be so blind?
There is a biological limit to the number of other races America can absorb without being discolored through interbreeding among the races. After all, this is still mainly a country settled and developed by members of the white race with strong Western cultural backgrounds.
The American people will have to decide what kind of country they want their grandchildren to grow up in: one in which there is a white, English-speaking majority, or a multicolored, multilingual nation with enormous communication and cultural problems caused by diversified languages. France is for Frenchmen, Germany for Germans, Egypt for Egyptians. America is for ... ? A macrocosm of the world?
Two distinct cultures cannot exist in the same geographic area without conflict. Therefore, in the near future, we can expect intolerance and hostility among the multiracial immigrants. This was vividly demonstrated by the Los Angeles riots wherein Korean businesses were the favorite target of the black and Hispanic rioters.
Read what Samuel Francis wrote in the February 1993 issue of Chronicles: "The issues that began to mutter in the past election - economic digestion by foreign powers, the danger not only of crime but of outright anarchy, cultural disintegration under the impact of massive immigration and militantly antiwhite and anti-Western multiculturalist movements - have to do with whether the American nation, as a political unity and as a cultural identity, will live or die."
Robert N. Hopkins in an article published in the Conservative Review writes:
"Today the government deliberately gives no recognition to race or ethnicity, except to advance the interests of minority ethnic and racial groups, which are thereby encouraged to maintain their own identity and to avoid being absorbed into the 'Old American' tradition so readily accepted by most earlier immigrants of European origin."
Americans are generally left to assume that the traditional American culture and values are so strong that they will persist, despite this influx of people with quite different cultural backgrounds. I do not believe the United Sates can absorb this Third World immigration torrent without itself becoming a radically different society.
Americans are the most generous and humane people on Earth. But our concerns for the inhabitants of other nations who want to better their lives by coming to America should not make us blind to the welfare of American citizens. America should take care of its own citizens first.
It is a fundamental moral obligation of the government to look first to the needs of our citizens, and to take no action that in a major way interferes with the government's fulfillment of that responsibility. Those who advocate liberal immigration policies because America is the world's "melting pot" forget that America has not fully integrated blacks and whites.
What lures illegal aliens to this country is the ease with which they can obtain welfare benefits and low-paying jobs. In virtually every Western and Southeastern state, illegal aliens can receive free legal advice and free medical services, including pregnancy care.
Congress needs to immediately stop all legal immigration while it exhaustively studies the purpose and need for immigration. Freezing immigration will save the American taxpayer $45 billion annually, according to "The Costs of Immigration," a recent study by Donald L. Huddle, professor emeritus of economics at Rice University in Houston. Just two years of a freeze on immigration will provide almost $100 billion to reduce the national deficit.
While Congress is debating the immigration problem, it can can take the following actions to reduce the numbers:
1. Stop chain migration, whereby the admission of married sons and daughters or married brothers and sisters opens up the spouses' extended families to immigration.
2. End the absurdity of granting U.S. citizenship simply by virtue of being born on U.S. soil, even if the parents are illegal aliens.
If present immigration laws are maintained that legally permit more than 900,000 immigrants (mostly unskilled from Third World countries) to enter America each year, 300 years of American history, tradition and culture will end in the coming century. It will, if the president and Congress continue their present traitorous and idiotic immigration policies.
