The Randolph-Macon women's basketball team pulled off a big upset on Thursday night, defeating Roanoke 69-66 to put an end to the Maroons' 22-game winning streak. The win gave Randolph-Macon coach Carroll LaHaye her 200th career victory.
Roanoke entered the game at 22-1 overall, 19-0 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The Maroons' only loss had come in the season opener, 66-64 to Concordia-Morehead on Nov. 23. Randolph-Macon nearly achieved an upset earlier this month at Roanoke, but fell short 63-62.
