Two unrelated fights resulted in the arrests of a woman and a man on charges of malicious wounding.
In the first incident, on Friday night, Christiansburg police responded to a 911 caller who reported a man had been stabbed in the chest at 106 Evans St. about 10 p.m.
When police arrived, they found Marius A. Donadelle Jr., 29, with a chest wound. Police arrested his wife, 33-year-old Barbara A. Donadelle of Christiansburg, on one count of malicious wounding, according to a news release.
Marius Donadelle was treated at Columbia Montgomery Regional Hospital and released the same evening. His wife was released on a $2,000 bond.
Early Saturday morning, town police arrested Jerry L. Roberts, 45, on a charge of malicious wounding after a fight in Farmhouse Lounge at 285 Ridinger St. left a Christiansburg man with a neck wound.
Todd A. Bartlett, 29, was treated for a neck cut after the 12:40 a.m. incident.
Roberts, of Christiansburg, was released on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
Police would not reveal details of what types of weapons were used in the attacks or what caused the fights. Donadelle and Roberts will be arraigned March 4.
