Quilts to celebrate town's birthday
BeeBurg Quilters will be celebrating Blacksburg's Bicentennial by creating two quilts, one for the town Municipal Building and one for the Parks and Recreation Center. The quilts will be made of individual blocks made by different quilters.
Anyone interested in creating a block can call Mary at 951-1366 to reserve a block and select a topic. The blocks must be completed by Sept. 2.
Gifted Advisory Committee to meet
The Gifted Advisory Committee for Montgomery County Public Schools will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the resource room at the School Board Office, 200 Junkin St. in Christiansburg. The meeting is open to the public.
