A Roanoke man died Tuesday evening when his car ran into a guardrail on Interstate 81 near the Ironto exit in Montgomery County.
Virginia State Police said Mark Steven Landau, 43, was northbound when his car ran into the median and hit the guardrail.
Trooper D.J. Rose said that a witness said Landau was driving as if "fatigued" and never applied the brakes before hitting the guardrail.
