A FINE WAY TO TREAT A GRANNY METER FEEDER SAYS SHE WON'T REPENT.

NO GOOD deed goes unpunished. Just ask Sylvia Stayton of Cincinnati, grabbed by the long arm of the law last fall for dropping nickels and dimes into other people's expired parking meters.

This week, the 63-year-old grandmother was fined $500 for obstructing official police business - ticketing drivers whose cars overstay their metered welcome. But she says she'll keep on feeding expired meters when she takes a mind to. Heck, a few more $500 fines collected from granny busts, and maybe the city could afford to get rid of the meters.
