TOWN ANNOUNCES SPRING PICKUPS

Spring cleanup in Blacksburg is March 17 through April 11.

Town crews will pick up bulky items and brush for town refuse customers only. Hazardous wastes, chemicals, tree stumps or paint will not be collected.

All materials should be placed at curbside or alleyway by the first day of collection for your area of town.

The schedule is: March 17-21, southwest quadrant; March 24-28, southeast quadrant; March 31- April 4, northeast quadrant; April 7-11, northwest quadrant.

Brush collection will be on Thursday and Friday during each collection week. Brush should not be mixed with other materials.

Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, sinks, commodes, water heaters, stoves, washers, dryers and tires also should be separated.
