RENTAL BUSINESS OPENS IN ROANOKE

Sunbelt Rentals Inc., an equipment rental business, has opened in the former Federal Express building at 5784 Peters Creek Road.

Sunbelt, headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., is a subsidiary of Ashtead Group PLC, a British company. The company operates 25 rental businesses in the Eastern United States.

Bruce Dressel, chief operating officer of Sunbelt, said the business will be open six days a week from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Rusty Pugh, a Roanoke native who formerly worked for another local rental company, will manage the Roanoke location, Dressel said.

Sunbelt rents equipment from floor sanders to manlifts and heavy generators, Dressel said.
