A Roanoke man was arrested on drug charges in a Radford apartment complex Tuesday night by the Montgomery County Drug Task Force.
A task force member said Alfred D. Mills, 35, was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm after being convicted a felony, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm while in possession of cocaine.
Mills was holding a gun in his lap when officers served the search warrant on the apartment in the Willow Woods complex on Allen Avenue, a task force member said. There was a child in the apartment and "another unidentified person," according to the task force member.
Officers seized 12 grams of crack cocaine - with an estimated street value of $1,200, a .38-caliber revolver and about $1,100 in cash as a result of the search.
Mills is being held in the Radford City Jail under a $15,000 bond.
