Under the new $150 standard-case and $250 advanced-case fee structure proposed by the Giles County Rescue Squad, there would be a charge for mileage, but no additional charge for labor. The proposal was incorrectly described in the New River Current on Saturday and Feb. 25.
The tractor-trailer that caught fire and blocked U.S. 460 Monday in Giles County belonged to Great Coastal and was carrying a load of acetate filter tow from the Hoechst-Celanese Corp. Celco Plant near Pearisburg. The ownership of the truck and the cargo were incorrectly reported in Wednesday's New River Current.
