Family says alcohol not cause of fatal fall

Bad luck, not the six or seven beers he'd consumed, led to George W. Poblett's fatal plunge, his family and friends say. Poblett fell some 80 feet Saturday from the mouth of a cave above the New River in Giles County while hiking with friends. For details, see today's Virginia section.
