GREENFIELD DECISIONS EXPECTED

The Botetourt County Board of Supervisors will also rule on the Eagle Rock Bridge.

Today's meeting should be an eventful one for the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors, as they are expected to decide the fate of the Eagle Rock Bridge, as well as make some major announcements about the Botetourt Center at Greenfield.

At 9:30 a.m. in the Old District Courthouse meeting room, the supervisors will vote on a revenue-sharing proposal from Secretary of Transportation Robert Martinez to build a new bridge at Eagle Rock. The plan calls for the state and county to split the $2.5 million cost of putting up the new bridge.

At 10:30 a.m., the county will present "new announcements and significant new information related to previously announced plans" for the Botetourt Center at Greenfield, the county's 900-acre industrial/business/recreational/school facility.

The supervisors will also vote on bids for building the sewer line to Greenfield.
