A story on the death of retired Juvenile and Domestic Relations Judge Fred Hoback Jr. in Saturday's paper contained an error about Hoback's appointment to the bench. Hoback was the fourth judge appointed to the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court of the Roanoke Valley.

Also, Hoback was a football coach at Andrew Lewis High School, and had been a substitute judge in the General District and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts of the 23rd District.

In a story about VMI in Saturday's paper on page C3, the captions on the pictures J.A. Hagan III and J.A. Hagan IV were transposed.
