A 22-year-old Virginia Beach man who fell out of a moving minivan on the Virginia Tech campus was listed in very serious condition Tuesday.
Jeremy Agular is being treated in the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in neuro-trauma intensive care unit, according to a nursing supervisor on the floor.
Capt. Jody Falls of the Tech police said Agular suffered head injuries Saturday morning when he fell out of a minivan as it was driven on Oak Lane. The street is known for its several fraternity and sorority houses.
Falls said he does not know how fast the van was traveling when Agular opened the back door and apparently fell out. He said the accident occurred about 1:41 a.m. and no charges have been filed in the case, which is still under investigation.
Agular was taken to Columbia Montgomery Regional Hospital before he was flown to Roanoke for treatment.
Falls said Agular had been drinking before the accident.
