The Christiansburg-Blacksburg Rotary Club, in conjunction with Columbia Montgomery Regional Hospital, is holding two community-wide blood screening events as part of the club's annual fund-raiser. The screening is held from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. April 12 and 19.
For $25, the screening test many blood components, including cholesterol, iron, sodium and glucose. Participants are instructed not to eat or drink 12 hours prior to the screening and should have their physician's address available the day of the screening. Results will be forwarded to each participant's physician and home address.
Appointments are reccomended, however walk-ins may attend after 9 a.m.
Sign-up sheets will be posted at many local grocery stores. Sign-up by phone is available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 1 at 552-4703, on April 2 at 552-2519 and April 3 at 552-3240
