SALEM MAN DIES IN SINGLE-CAR CRASH

A 36-year-old man was killed in a single-car accident late Monday in north Roanoke County.

Police said they found a 1978 Buick overturned down an embankment off Airport Road about 11:30 p.m. Michael Wayne Richardson, of Salem, was found dead at the scene.

Investigators said Richardson lost control of his car and speed was a factor. The roof of his car hit a utility pole.
